  the cobe of the cong we attended called me and left a vm, and also emailed both me and my husband.

  this all happened yesterday.

  he said he was checking in to see how our family was doing, which is a joke.

  when someone interacts with you they can influence your thoughts and also manipulate your thinking.

  i became aware that this is what i was doing with householders on the ministry.

  we chipped away at householders with manipulation, and called it a return call.

  Yeah I freaked when I realized my JW mountain biking partner had run an number on me and then so did the WTS. They can now manipulate my *** for all I care. I read and research the Bible on my own.

  I'd always try and find common ground and make it clear I was just another guy like them, nothing special just trying to share some Bible truth. Those guys on the vid are plain weird. Bet you they judged the guy on account of his earrings and appearance. I do however remember bring frightened when just not in the mood for service, so who knows what they were thinking..

  Whole thinks smacks of grade school cliques and my dad is better than your dad BS, pathetic. I went along thinking the 'end' would come soon enough to escape all the JW craziness when in. Didn't happen, any day now.

  what is the purpose of counting time in service?

  I'll never even so much as look at one of those stupid things again ! Standing at the street corner making little notes about the 'householder' and so on. Then studiously filling in the boxes in RV's mags an so forth. Busy work for the Culture Club. Up your nose with a rubber hose GB !

  6 years ago or so when still in was out in service to make an elder happy and we came across a young couple. My elder friend gave his speil and the lady seemed receptive and open minded. They being business owners were cautious so they looked into the religion and on the next visit they turned us away, stating that they were NOT interested in any shape or form. This chain of events is rather common now I would suspect. Good !

  'Seek the Kingdom First' Economics

  has anyone else's family finances been victim to the 'seek the kingdom first' economic policy?.

  for years, my husband and i have had our own business, my husband is not the most proactive guy, prefers to go in field service than to work, but he has always encouraged me to 'rely on jehovah and all these other things will be added to you', 'seek the kingdom first' etc etc.

  there have been times, such as when i was heavily pregnant and we lost a big deal, that i have been begging jehovah on hands and knees to honour that promise, wondering why he wasn't helping us.

  Wow Dubstepped, Epic post and great answers everyone. Same here, business owner. Was criticized one morning after having made time to go to the book study how I was trying to achieve financial independence, in front of the whole group. I retorted that I like to pay my bills. The look on the book study conductor ( the one who fired off the insult ) was priceless as we say ! Oh the same guy blasted me for buying a nice cnc machining center that gave us the capacity to do some special work that put our company on the map. Small mindedness, but then again nothing is too good for the GB retirement compound ! Had I of known then what I now..

  I escaped the Borg by the skin of my teeth due to the fact that I'm a workaholic and don't know any other way to be. I almost gave up and sold all at one point is the extent of the fight that was going on in my head. Common sense and medication prevailed, seriously it got that bad.

  Talking with a young elder

  I know a young elder we used to motocross together about 10 year5s ago. He dabbled in women and dope when in high school and his parents were glad I took an interest in him with the dirt biking and stuff. We had a pretty equal skill set so it was fun going out to the tracks with hi. He got a trade, married a babe and bought a house and moved up quickly to youngest elder in the circuit. True company man same as in team KTM, Suzuki or Yamaha. Some people just need to belong to an organization of some sort.

  a single sister in her 40s and her two single daughters were visiting my mom.

  i would say her daughters are in their early 20s.

  my mom got sleepy and we put her to bed but the three sisters stayed to finish their drinks..

  Notice the way he wets his whistle ? I can't handle it. GB1 had dignity at least. GB2 is composed of morons. I fell for it in 2000, they seemed legit at the time. At present their ineptitude is astonishing.
